Open a site by clicking View Site on its card in the Sites list. The site opens on Table view.
At the top you will find a ← Sites link back to the list, the site name with a dropdown (⌄) to switch to another site, and Site settings in the top right. If the site has an address, the outdoor humidity and temperature appear on the right of the tab row as Current weather.
The site has four views: Table view, Graph view, Floorplan view, and Sensor Events.
Table view
Table view is the default. Each row is an area, with three columns:
- Area Name: the area's name and how many devices are in it
- Current Readings: the combined readings for that area
- Connection: how many of its sensors are transmitting, for example 3 / 3 connected
Click the arrow at the end of an area to expand it and see the sensors inside. Sensors that have not been put in an area appear as rows of their own, with the sensor type under the name.
Every area row has a … menu holding Edit area. Every sensor row has a graph shortcut and a … menu holding Edit unit.
Use the search bar to find a sensor by name, or Filter to narrow the list by sensor type. Add units and Add area sit above the table on the right.
Graph view
Graph view plots sensor data over time. Pick a sensor from the list on the left, which you can narrow with the search box and the All areas dropdown. Until you pick one, the panel reads "Select a sensor from the list to the left".
Above the chart, two badges summarise the last 24 hours: 24H RH Fluctuations and 24H Temp Fluctuations.
Set the period with Day, Week, Month or 3 Months, or type a range into the two date fields. The arrows either side of the dates step the range backwards and forwards.
Under the chart, a legend switches each series on and off: Temperature, Relative Humidity, Lux, and, on a site with an address, Outdoor temperature and Outdoor Relative Humidity. Beside the legend, Comments, Threshold Events and Global Events add markers to the chart. A tabbed panel below lists the same three for the selected sensor, with See all for the full history.
The ⋮ button next to the sensor name holds Edit device, Signal Strength, Sensor Statistics, Download Graph, Download Data and Edit axes.
Compare Sensors at the foot of the sensor list overlays several sensors on one chart. The heading changes to show how many are selected and offers Download graph and Download data. Click Stop comparing to return to a single sensor.
Floorplan view
Floorplan view puts your sensors onto a plan of the building, which makes them easier to locate in a site with many rooms.
The left panel lists the sensors on the current floor, then any Sensors without placement on floor plan. The plan fills the right of the view with its name above it. If the site has more than one plan, the arrows at the bottom right of the plan move between them.
Two buttons above the plan control what the pins show. Regular marks each placed sensor with its sensor-type icon.
See values replaces that icon with the sensor's current reading.
Click the ? for the placement instructions: select a sensor on the left, click the pen button in the top right corner of the plan, click the spot where the sensor sits, then click the save icon to lock the placement. The same steps move a sensor that is already placed.
A site with no plans shows Add floor plans +. Plans are added, renamed and reordered from the settings cog in the top right of Custodian, under Floor plans.
The chart button beside the ? opens Climate analysis, a standalone view of a single sensor with the same period controls and events panel as Graph view.
Sensor Events
Sensor Events is a timestamped log of everything that has happened at the site. It has three tabs.
Threshold Events lists every time a sensor crossed a threshold. Each row shows the sensor and what happened, Entered warning zone, Entered critical zone or Returned to normal, colour-coded yellow, red and green, along with the Measured value, the Rule that was triggered, and how long ago it happened with the date beneath. Expand a row to see the device, its site and area, the exact timestamp, all four bounds of the threshold it crossed, and whether a notification was sent.
Comments holds notes added by hand to the timeline.
Global Events holds site-wide events such as connectivity drops. Use + Create global event to log one yourself.
The dropdown at the top left narrows the log to particular sensors. It is a multi-select, so tick as many as you need. It reads All units while nothing is ticked. Use the search box to find an event by name. Events are paged, so use the arrows at the bottom right to move through the history.
