When you create a PDF report and enable the AI-generated summary option, Custodian will automatically produce a plain-language analysis of your climate data for the selected period.
The summary typically covers three areas:
- Overall Averages vs. Desired: how your average readings compare to the threshold values set in your climate rules
- Out-of-Range Deviations: specific sensors and readings that exceeded local thresholds during the period, broken down by measurement type
- Conservation Risks: an assessment of what the deviations could mean for the objects or materials housed in those spaces
Editing the summary
The AI summary is a starting point. You can rewrite any part of it to better reflect your findings before sharing or archiving the report.
To edit the summary:
- Find the report in the Reports list and click Edit
- The report preview opens on the left of the screen, with the summary text on the right
- Make your changes directly in the text field
- Click Next to move to the next site in the report, and Save on the last one
The report is summarised one site at a time, so a report covering two sites has two summaries to work through. The counter above the text field, for example 1 of 2, tells you where you are, and Previous takes you back. Save only appears on the last page and saves every page at once.
The text field holds plain markdown, so the asterisks around a heading are what make it bold in the PDF. Leave them in place.
Your edits are saved to the report and will appear in the next PDF download.
